Garlic cooking class offered
On Saturday, Sept. 23, from 11a.m. to 1 p.m., Ledge Ends Produce will host a workshop entitled "The Glory of Garlic."
Chef Eve Formisano returns to the farm for another workshop in her 2006 culinary series. The farmers at Ledge Ends Produce have a passion for growing garlic and this passion will be celebrated at the workshop. Chef Eve will educate the participants on varieties of garlic, how to determine freshness, and other garlic flavored facts. This workshop will include observing Chef Eve as she prepares and explains utilizing garlic in many creative dishes, followed by a tasting. The program will take place outside under the mimosa tree at the historic Briggs/ Boesch Farm, 830 South Rd. in East Greenwich.
