Elizabeth A. McCaffrey, 79
Elizabeth A. (Mulgrew) McCaffrey, 79, a resident of Life Care center in Attleboro, Mass., formerly of Jamestown, died Sunday, Sept. 24, 2006, at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. She was the wife of the late John F. McCaffrey.
Born in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada, a daughter of the late W. Ellis Jr. and Mary (Thomson) Mulgrew, she lived in Walpole, Mass., before moving to Jamestown in 1983.
Mrs. McCaffrey received her bachelor's degree from Our Lady of the Elms College and was a teacher in the Bellingham and Chatham, Mass., high schools. Before retiring, she was also a substitute teacher in the Walpole School. System.
She was a communicant of St. Mark Church.
She leaves three sons, William McCaffrey of Uxbridge, Mass., Michael McCaffrey of Charlestown, Mass., and Vincent McCaffrey and his wife Catherine of Richmond, Va.; two daughters, Ann Rees and her husband Tom of Tampa, Fla., and Martha Vigneault and her husband Roland of Jamestown; a brother, David O. Mulgrew of Gilford, NH; and seven grandchildren. She was the sister of the late William Mulgrew.
Her Funeral will be held today at 8:45am from the Fagan-Quinn Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Rd, North Kingstown, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mark Church, 60 Narragansett Ave. in Jamestown. Burial will be in St. Mark Cemetery.
