Judith Anne Shepard, 60
Judith Anne Shepard, 60, formerly of Jamestown died unexpectedly Oct. 5, 2006 while traveling in St. Louis. She was the beloved wife of Captain Joseph A. Shepard.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Dorothy (Leonardo) Sears. She is survived by her loving husband Joseph of 33 years; two brothers Alfred Sears of Ceres, Calif., David Sears of Warwick; two sisters Dorothy Moniz of Cranston, Mary Elizabeth Joyal of Warwick; four nephews and three nieces.
Judith was a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design and the University of Rhode Island Master Gardener Program. She volunteered on the URI Master Gardner Hotline, and was a member of the Quononoquott Garden Club and the Jamestown Republican Town Committee. She also served as a member of Jamestown's Emergency Medical Services.
A memorial service in her honor will be held at St. Agnes Church, 100 Chatham St., Providence on Saturday, Oct. 14, at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent in her memory to PXE International, 4301 Conn. Ave. NW, Suite 404, Washington, DC 20008.
