"Charlie Brown" a major hit

I'm writing this brief letter as a well-deserved public thank-you to everyone and anyone who helped make the recent Jamestown Community Theatre production of "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" the resounding success that it was.

The production could not have been mounted had it not been for the volunteerism of many good people and the community support of local businesses.

The theatre would like to thank McQuade's, Xtra/Mart, Cumberland Farms, House of Pizza, Baker's Pharmacy, Jamestown Hardware, the Jamestown Community Farm, and the Dutra Farm for their support and contributions.

Along with the hard-working cast, crew, and many theatre members and parents who were listed or mentioned in the show's printed program, the JCT would also like to thank teen volunteers Camille Baker, Lisa Brendlinger, Jessica Bucklin, Dylan D'Alessandro, Alexa Furtado, and Jackie Woodside.

And thank-you to the Jamestown Press for its advance review of the play. It no doubt played a role in filling the seats to capacity for many of the performances.

It's been an interesting and sometimes trying season for the theatre, and we'd like to acknowledge the outpouring of community support on behalf of our efforts, both past and present. We are grateful and look forward to continued success through the commitment and hard work of enthusiastic Jamestowners, young and old alike.

Kevin A. Somerville, president, Jamestown
