Lois F. Lemke

Lois F. (Lockwood) Lemke, of East Greenwich, formerly of Melbourne Beach, Fla. and Nantucket passed away peacefully Nov. 14, 2006 at the home of her eldest son and his wife, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur Lemke, Sr.

She was the mother of Arthur Lemke and his wife Karen of Jamestown, Lynne Menson and her husband Richard of Lake Forest, Ill., Richard Lemke and his wife Mary of Saunderstown, Michelle Nelson and her husband David of Peruville, NY and; sister of Lorraine Wehmeyer; grandmother of 6, great-grandmother of 2.

After graduating from Irvington High School in Irvington, NJ, she attended secretarial school and worked for the New Jersey Bell Telephone Company. She was a homemaker and loved to read and cook. She and her late husband traveled to many continents.

She touched many lives as wife, mother, sister and friend. She made a difference in everyone's lives through her hard work, persistence and love.

Her Funeral Service will be held today at 11 a.m. in the FAGAN-QUINN Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Road, North Kingstown. Burial will be in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours are this morning, 9 to 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Home & Hospice Care of RI, 169 George St., Pawtucket, RI 02860, will be appreciated.
