Zoo offers free admission
Roger Williams Park Zoo is offering free admission for all visitors on New Year’s Day, Jan. 1.
The zoo is also offering all visitors half-priced admission for the winter season, from Jan. 2 to March 31.
Free-will donations will be accepted on New Year’s Day.
Visitors can observe the coldweather animals like snow leopards, penguins, arctic foxes, and others in their more natural environments. Some temperature sensitive animals, like the elephants and giraffes, can also still be seen on exhibit indoors, and a visit to the zoo’s Tropical America building, featuring tropical birds and exotic primate species, offers a break from the cold winter weather with a warm, rainforest retreat.
Special activities are also scheduled throughout winter school vacation week, Feb. 19 to 23. For more information, call 785-3510.
