People love to be foolish
     On behalf of the Jamestown Yacht Club I would like to thank everyone who made the 29th annual Fools' Rules Regatta a great event! The day was perfect, with a nice southwest breeze to move the 62 "vessels" down the course to the cheers and laughter of an enthusiastic spectator crowd.

A great tribute to Karl Smith
     I would like to thank the Jamestown Press for its Aug. 17 editorial page tribute to my late husband Karl Smith and his founding of the Fools' Rules Regatta, and for Sam Bari's fine article, which included an informative interview with Chris Powell, the dynamic "chief fool" for so many years.

The talent was better than ever!

A fantastic Weatherill cleanup job
     Jamestown is such a beautiful town. There are so many places on the island that one can take in this beauty. My favorite spot is Fort Wetherill. What a joy it is to spend time there.
