Hey Day coming Sept. 16

Conanicut Island's 11th Hey Day event will be held at the Dutra Dairy Farm in the Historic Windmill Hill district on Weeden Lane, off North Main Road, on Saturday, Sept. 16, from 11a.m. to 4 p.m. This popular celebration of open space in Jamestown is sponsored by the Conanicut Island Land Trust.

Held every two years, Hey Day is Jamestown's own county fair, featuring hay rides, nature walks, music, children's games, food, exhibits, a silent auction, and much more.

The land trust works to preserve Jamestown's open spaces and natural resources for the benefit of the public.

Everyone is invited. A rain date has been scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 17.

Donations of small toys suitable for young children are needed as prizes for children's games. Volunteers are needed to make this Hey Day a great one.
