Items needed for women's shelter

The Women's Resource Center of Newport and Bristol Counties is looking for donations of toiletries and various household items for women entering the Safe Home.

The Pantry Program is always in need of perishable and nonperishable food items, shampoo, soap, toilet paper, makeup, school supplies, cleaning supplies, and toys.

Clubs, organizations, schools, and churches are asked to hold a drive to collect items for women and their children in need.

Items may be dropped at the back of the building at 114 Touro St. in Newport during regular business hours, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
