Blood drive Oct. 1

The island veterans groups will hold a blood drive on Sunday, Oct. 1, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Holy Ghost Hall.

The Arnold Zweir Post 22 of the American Legion and VFW Post 9447 are the blood drive's sponsors.

To give blood, a person should be in generally good health, weigh at least 110 pounds, and be 17 or older.
