Tour URI research ship Endeavor
     The crew of the University of Rhode Island's research vessel Endeavor will offer free public tours of the ship on Saturday, Nov. 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the dock of URI's Narragansett Bay Campus.

Award winning author will speak at tall ships event
     The author of several awardwinning books about sea voyages and sailing, Nathaniel Philbrick, will be speaking and signing copies of his books at a fund-raiser for Tall Ships Rhode Island 2007, which will bring 20 to 30 ships to Newport Harbor next summer.
