Wind ensemble, concert band to perform at URI Fine Arts Center

A double-header concert featuring 20th-century music for wind and band instruments and percussion soloist Ron Stabile will be performed at the University of Rhode Island Sunday, Oct. 29.

The URI Symphonic Wind Ensemble, directed by Gene Pollart, and the URI Concert Band, directed by Brian Cardany, will perform an eclectic program of modern works starting at 3 p.m.

The concert will be held in the Fine Arts Center Concert Hall off Upper College Road on URI's Kingston campus. Admission is $8 for the general public, $2 for students, with seating on a firstcome basis. The box office opens 45 minutes before the concert.
