Fill an empty bowl Friday night

Empty Bowls 2006 will take place this Friday night, Nov. 3, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Melrose Avenue School.

Tickets, at $15 for adults and $10 for children under 17, include a dinner of soups and stews in handcrafted ceramic bowl made by Jamestown school children.

The event promotes awareness of hunger and poverty and all proceeds will benefit local food banks.

Live jazz music will accompany the dinner.
