Police Log Juvenile charged in break-in A 14-year-old was charged Nov. 1 with burglary and breaking and entering after a neighbor on Top o' the Mark Drive witnessed the 4 p.m. event and called police. The boy allegedly gained entry to the house by breaking a basement window, police said. The homeowner is putting together a list of missing items, police said, adding that the boy was referred to Family Court. Drunk driving charged + Joseph C. Gomes, 60, of Narragansett was charged Nov. 5 with drunk driving after a traffic stop for sitting at a stop sign too long, then getting on Route 138. He was also charged with refusing to take a Breathalyzer test, police said. Gomes is scheduled to appear Nov. 10 in Newport District Court, according to police. + Julie Nonnenmacher, 44, of North Kingstown was charged Nov. 4 with drunk driving after a "be on the lookout" was called in for her vehicle. Nonnenmacher was also charged with refusing to take a Breathalyzer test, police said. She is due to appear Nov. 10 in Newport District Court, police said. Vandalism reported An employee at the Lawn Avenue School told police Nov. 5 that an exterior light on the school building had been smashed. |
