Virginia Hefler, 93

Virginia (Jamison) Hefler, 93, of Kingstown Road, South Kingstown, a longtime resident of Waterford, Conn., died Sunday, Oct. 29, 2006. She was the wife of the late John R. Hefler, and they were married for 65 years.

Born in Canisteo, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late Ross H. and Sophia (Beach) Jamison. She was a 1935 graduate of Alfred University in Alfred, N.Y.

She leaves a son and daughter in-law John and Ellen Hefler of Charlestown, R.I. and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Louise Jamison MacLaughlin, Margaret E. Jamison, Lee Ray Jamison, Ross H. Jamison Jr., and Lyle E. Jamison. Burial will be private in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Abington, Mass.
