Save The Bay to hold climate change symposium A panel of scientists will discuss the basics of climate change and research related to its effects on Narragansett Bay's habitats, flora, fauna and shorelines on Thursday, Nov. 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Providence facility. Among the scheduled researchers who will make a presentation are Dr. Steve Hamburg, associate professor of environmental studies, Brown University; Dr. Grace Klein-MacPhee, Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management, Division of Marine Fisheries; Dr. S. Jeffress Williams, coastal marine geologist, U.S. Geological Survey, Coastal and Marine Geology Program, Woods Hole Science Center; Dr. Marci Cole Ekberg, coastal ecologist, Save The Bay. There will be refreshments and a cash bar. Admission is $5 for students and Save The Bay members and $10 for nonmembers. Reservations are recommended.
