Book group opens 'Bell Jar'

The next Evening Book Discussion at the Jamestown Library will be on Tuesday, Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. with a discussion of "The Bell Jar" by Sylvia Plath.

The group will meet on the third Tuesday of each month at library at 7 p.m. and they have chosen the following books for discussion in the upcoming months.

Dec. 19, "Things Fall Apart" by Chinua Achebe; Jan. 16, 2007 - "Tales of Burning Love" by Louise Erdrich; Feb. 20, 2007 - "The Unbearable Lightness of Being" by Milan Kundera; and March 20, 2007 - "All the Pretty Horses" by Cormac McCarthy.

Meetings are free and open to the public - new participants are always welcome.

Copies of the book can be obtained by placing a hold on the many copies available through the statewide network. The discussion is free and open to the public and led by Richard Tyre.
