NK crosscountry teams place first

The North Kingstown Skippers girls' cross-country team took first place in the RIIL State track meet, which was held Nov. 5 at Ponagansett High School. The team took five straight titles in prior years, but lost last year to Coventry.

Contributing to the win for NK, were Jamestown students Erin Brennan, a senior, and Caitlin Crawford, a junior.

The NK Skippers boy's crosscountry team defeated the highly competitive Bishop Hendricken Hawks for first place in the high school southern division.

Competing from Jamestown were Gary Largess and Owen White, both seniors, and Nate Wigton, a junior.
