Pennfield schedules open house

The Pennfield School, 110 Sandy Point Ave, Portsmouth will hold an Admissions Open House on Saturday, Nov. 18, from 9 a.m. to noon. Interested families are invited to come for the morning assembly at 8 a.m., hear a presentation by Rob Kelley, head of school, tour the school's facilities with a parent, and observe classes. Pennfield School has a tradition of excellence with high academic standards.

The Pennfield School is a coeducational, independent day school that offers classes to students beginning with three-yearold nursery and continuing through grade 8. The program is a rigorous blend of contemporary and traditional approaches to education, with an emphasis on building a strong foundation in basic skills. Foreign languages, the arts, computer, lab science, and a full program of physical education and athletics are offered.

Applications for the 2007-2008 school year are now being accepted.
