Art with heart to benefit domestic violence awareness

On Thursday, Nov. 30, the elegant doors of the Edward King House will open to host the second annual Art with Heart event.

This night of wine-tasting, art exhibits, and entertainment will benefit the Women's Resource Center of Newport & Bristol Counties. The community is encouraged to partake in a great night of art appreciation and to support the promotion of nonviolence.

Art with Heart will feature the work of 10 local artists, including Lori Cochrane, Betty Ann Morris, Cheryl Richards, Karen Roarke, and others. These artists' works will be for sale throughout the evening and a portion of the proceeds will go directly to the Women's Resource Center. Wines will be provided by Greenvale, Newport, and Sakonnet vineyards. To compliment the wine selection, Spark will serve tasty hors d'oeuvres.

Art with Heart will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Tickets are on sale for $50 each, and those who want to attend are asked to RSVP by Nov. 22. To reserve tickets call Lisa Sheley at 846-5263, ext.116. Ample parking for the event will be available at the Bellevue Shopping Plaza.
