Daniel F. Donahue, 65

Daniel F. Donahue, 65, of Reservoir Circle, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2006 at home.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Dr. William and Anna (Dolan) Donahue. He lived in Cranston most of his life and resided in Jamestown for the past several years.

Mr. Donahue was an elementary school teacher in the North Providence and Cranston School Systems. He was a graduate of LaSalle Academy and Niagara University. He was an active member of St. Mark Parish in Jamestown, where he served on the parish council. He was a former member of the Jamestown library board. A keen reader and incorrigible talker, Mr. Donahue was known for his entertaining wit. He volunteered for many

years at the Rhode Island Hospital Emergency Room and most recently as an extraordinary minister of Communion at Rhode Island Hospital and the Rhode Island State Prison System.

Mr. Donahue is survived by a brother-in-law, Paul Hutter of Indiana; two nieces, a nephew, several cousins, and many loyal friends. He was the brother of the late Sheila (Donahue) Hutter.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday March 20, 2006 at in St. Mark Church, 60 Narragansett Avenue, Jamestown. Burial followed in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory to St. Mark Church Building Fund, 60 Narragansett Ave., Jamestown, RI 02835 would be appreciated.
