Murphy-Murray exchange vows

Leah Abbott Murphy and Christopher J. Murray were married July 8, 2006 in Jamestown with the Rev. Robert Morton-Ranney officiating. A reception followed.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Murphy of Jamestown, and the groom is the son of Peter and Yvonne Murray of Nelson, New Zealand.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by matron of honor Emily Chamberlain, her sister. Flower girls were Ella Hutchinson and Annabelle O'Donnell. Kate Murray, sister of the groom, attended him as "best woman," and the usher was James Chamberlain. John Chamberlain served as the ring bearer.

The bride and groom both attended the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand. She is a nursing student at the University of Rhode Island and he recently graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering.

The couple will live in Jamestown.
