Food service vendor sought

In an effort to improve our breakfast and lunch programs at the Melrose and Lawn schools, the Jamestown School Committee has begun the process of identifying a food service provider that will meet our expectations of nutritious meals at reasonable cost.

We are currently developing an RFP (request for proposals) for a new school food service vendor, and are holding an informational meeting for potential vendors on Thursday, Dec. 14, at 7 p.m. in the library at the Lawn Avenue School. The purpose of the meeting is to provide information to potential vendors and answer questions that will enable vendors to respond to our RFP.

We encourage any interested parties to attend that informational meeting. Thank you for your consideration. We look forward to rolling out our new school menus in the fall of 2007.
