License charges

Daniel J. Kirwin, 43, of West Warwick was charged Dec. 19 with driving with a suspended license after a traffic stop on Union Street.

Kirwin is scheduled to appear Jan. 5 in Newport District Court, police said.

Larcenies reported

• An employee of the Lawn Avenue School reported Dec. 17 that a school bus was entered and a ceramic vase was removed.

Police said the value of the vase was $12.

• A resident of North Main Road told police Dec. 17 that someone stole two items from his house. A World War II bayonet worth $40 and a pellet gun valued at $50 were taken, police said.

Burglary reported

A resident of Narragansett Avenue reported Dec. 17 that a new PlayStation, worth $500 was taken from the house. The thief used a tool to pry open a gate to gain entry to the house, police said.

Threats reported

A resident of Cutter Street told police Dec. 13 that an acquaintance made threatening phone calls to the house. The threats were not carried out, police said.
