Disco fundraiser benefits dance troupe

Island Moving Co. invites everyone to boogie at its Friday, Feb. 23, “Disco Inferno: Burn Snowball Burn,” from 9 p.m. to 1a.m. at the Boom Boom Room at the Clarke Cooke House on Newport’s Banister’s Wharf.

There will be a cash bar and free hors d’oeuvres along with non-stop disco hits. Burn Snowball Burn features a disco performance by Island Moving Co. dancers, dress and dance contests with trophies and prizes awarded and a raffle for tickets to area cultural events.

Disco dress (no natural fibers!) is encouraged. Tickets cost $35, or $30 at the door with a Winterfest button.
