Concert Feb. 4 at URI

The lilting sounds of harp, flute, and soprano voice will fill the concert hall in the University of Rhode Island's Fine Arts Center when URI presents the fourth concert in the 2006-07 University Artist Series. Featuring performances by Margaret Frazier, soprano, Hyunjung Choi, harp, and Susan Thomas, flute, the concert is slated for 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 4, on the Kingston campus.

Pieces in this multi-national program include compositions by Ravel and Saint Saëns, popular songs by Stephen Foster, folk songs arranged by Benjamin Britten, as well as contemporary works by current composers George Crumb and Jeffrey Rickard.

The concert will be held in the Fine Arts Center Concert Hall off Upper College Road.

Admission is $8 for the general public, $2 for students, with seating on a first-come basis. The box office opens 45 minutes before the concert.
