Peter and Judith Twombly received a permit Jan. 8 to make roof repairs at 43 Marine Ave., work estimated to cost $1,000.

      Dispositions in Newport District Court Heather Skiba, 29, of Troy, N.Y., had a charge of domestic vandalism dismissed Jan. 19 as part of a plea agreement.

Police Log
      Drunk driving charged Keith Bogues, 26, of Newport was charged Jan. 22 with driving under the influence after he was stopped on Route 138 for speeding and swerving. Bogues also refused to take a Breathalyzer test, police said. He is scheduled to appear in Newport District Court Feb. 2, police said.
