Correction on Lot 71 barn proposal
      I was flattered to receive several calls regarding my letter to the editor last week about the potential of using Lot 71 for the DPW faciliy with the possibility of a water line extension up East Shore Road that could increase revenue to the town water system from existing homes with shallow wells.

Affordable housing not needed here
      I would like to address the editorial that Publisher Jeff Mc- Donough wrote in the Jamestown Press Feb.1.There are a few points that I do not agree with, and some that I do. First, Mr. McDonough says that the words affordable and housing are "laughable" on Jamestown ...s o I ask why is it that he thinks this way ?

Questions about recent letters
      Two letters in last week's Press left me scratching my head. The first letter dealt with the Environmental Protection Agency designating Jamestown as a sole source aquifer. Does Jamestown really need another agency, group or individual reviewing plans for a particular project?

Voters spoke on highway barn
      Once again, it has been suggested that the highway barn be placed on Lot 71 on East Shore Road where Eldred Avenue used to come in, now next to the entrance and exit to the cross-island expressway.
