Elizabeth Kane, 96
Elizabeth (Larzelere) Kane, 96, of Jamestown died Jan. 30, 2007 at Newport Hospital after a long illness.
She was born in Philadelphia, Pa., the daughter of the late Walter Dubois Larzelere and Katharine Sterrett Creswell. She attended Agnes Irwin School in Philadelphia and was later schooled in France. While in Philadelphia, she sang with the D'Oily Carte Choir and the Vox-Humana Choral.
Prior to living in Jamestown, she lived in Devon, Pa., and Plum Beach, RI. She was a former member of the Conanicut Yacht Club the Dunes Club in Narragansett, and the Acorn Club in Philadelphia. She was an avid bridge player and gardener. She was a member of the Kingston Congregational Church.
Mrs. Kane is survived by her three children and their spouses: Braden Bayard Kane Jr. and Donna Linton Kane of Jamestown, Katharine Kane Damon and C. Francis (Frank) Damon of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Nancy Kane Fleming and Charles C. (Skip) Fleming, III of Naples, Fla. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Her funeral services will be private.
