Free things to do this Febrary vacation
All events are free, however, advance registration is required for some events because of limited seating or capacity. All reservations will be taken through the Rhode Island PBS Web site, www.ripbs.org, or by calling the Family Fun Week hot line at 222-3636 extension 220. Reservations are on a first-come basis, beginning Feb. 2. Early registration is suggested to avoid being shut out.
Schedule of events:
Monday - Hugs and photos with Ord from PBS Kids series "Dragon Tales" at the Warwick Mall on Presidents Day, Feb. 19, from 1 to 4 p.m. No advance registration is necessary. Participants should bring their cameras.
Tuesday - Space Station 3D at the Feinstein IMAX Theatre at Providence Place Mall. The theater is opening just for this event and offers this exclusive screening just for Family Fun Week families. Show time is 10 a.m. There is a limit of four passes per family. Advance reservations are required. This event is made possible by additional support from Dunkin' Donuts.
Wednesday - Providence Bruins game at the Dunkin' Donuts Center, downtown Providence. The P-Bruins face the Portland Pirates. Game time is 7:05 p.m. Tickets are limited to four per family. Advance registration is required. Meet Clifford The Big Red Dog.
Thursday - Make way for the Big Nazo Puppets at the Stadium Theatre Performing Arts Centre, 28 Monument Square, Main Street in Woonsocket. Show time is 11 a.m. Tickets are limited to four per family.
