Peter Burns Construction received a permit Feb. 6 to add an awning over rear stairs at 23 Narragansett Ave., work estimated to cost $6,900.

      Assault charged Steven Hackett, 23, of 67 Cole St. was charged Feb. 6 with domestic simple assault and domestic vandalism. Hackett was taken into custody at the police station when turned himself in after being notified that the police had a warrant for his arrest.
