Community chorus has applications available for first annual Music Award
The Jamestown Community Chorus is seeking applications from fulltime Jamestown residents for its first annual Music Award.
Supported in part by a grant from the Rhode Island Foundation, This award is intended to encourage interest in music among Jamestown residents. The award will support a project or activity up to a maximum of $500. It can fund expenses associated with the musical development of the recipient, including such items as vocal or instrumental lessons or tuition for a music-related course or program, books, and materials. The award can also cover the cost of music, summer camp, undergraduate or graduate education, or an instrument.
Jamestown residents of high school age and over, including adults and seniors, are encouraged to apply.

Completed applications must be postmarked no later than March 31. The award recipient will be notified by April 16. The Jamestown Community Chorus will present the award at its spring concert on May 5 or May 6.
