Library received incorrect IRS forms

The IRS sent 6,000 public libraries incorrect 1040X forms and instructions.

The incorrect forms bear the revision date, "REV. December 2006." The correct forms have a revision date of February 2007.

Twenty-five copies of the correct 1040X forms and 10 copies of instruction have not arrived at the affected libraries and will not be here until March. The Jamestown library was one of the 6,000 libraries to receive the wrong forms.

The Jamestown library expects to receive the corrected forms in March. The corrected forms are also available on the Internet by going to http://www. irs.gov.

For more information, call the library, 423-7280, and ask for Deborah Homer, the reference librarian.
