Island no longer for the working class

I am writing in response to Mr. Salvatore's letter on affordable housing. I was raised in Jamestown. My wife's father was born and raised in Jamestown and he raised his children in Jamestown.

Back then, if you grew up here you could buy a house and raise your family here. I am very offended by Mr. Salvatore's remark that if you work hard you can live here. NOT ANY MORE. Everything has changed. Our children can no longer live here even though they have good jobs and work very hard. They have been pushed out.

People like Mr. Salvatore with their multi-million dollar mansions have changed the beautiful island that everyone wanted to move to. It is no longer for the working class people.
