Edward Lindquist, Jr., 36
Edward Lindquist, Jr., passed away at the Royal Manner nursing home in Palm Beach, Fla., on March 10, 2007 after a long illness. He is survived by his parents, Elizabeth and Edward Lindquist. His father is a former director of the Jamestown recreation center. His brother, Gunnery Sgt. Jonathan Lindquist, is stationed at the Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan with his wife Melissa, three sons and a daughter.
He is the nephew of Cindy and Ray Smith, and Kerry and Kris Sheehan of Jamestown; as well as Laurie Sheehan and Michael Medieros of North Kingstown, Milly and Maria Sheehan of Royal Palm Beach, Fla., Bob and Judy of Manchester, Conn., Susan and John Walker of Jupiter Fla., Edalene and Jan Menzi of Portsmouth, and Eleanor and Fred Lindquist of Sarasota, Fla.
He is the grandson of the late James and Rita Lindquist.
Mr. Lindquist graduated from Diman Vocational High School and worked as a welder at Borden- Remington in Fall River, Mass., before being involved in a car accident. He was involved with the YMCA swim team and SWS ice hockey, and volunteered in the Fall River Soup Kitchen, and the Palm Beach Animal Rescue Center in Florida.
A memorial service will be held in the Memorial Garden at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church on Saturday, March 31 at 1 p.m.
