Town wants FCC ruling on emissions

The Town Council through Town Solicitor Peter Ruggiero will request a federal review of the cell phone towers.
Ruggiero will ask the Federal Communications Commission, which regulates antenna emissions, to review those on the water towers on Howland Avenue.
Three neighbors last month told councilors about their concerns, including possible cumulative effect of several towers with potential radiation. Reenie Rubino, Eileen Tiexiera and Gaeli Greene, all of Howland Avenue, asked for council help.
Ruggiero said the FCC would follow up by contacting antenna owners and running tests if its preliminary reviews suggest a need for such.
