M. Marjorie Moran, 84

M. Marjorie Moran, 84, of Pemberton Avenue, died Sunday, April 8, 2007 at home. She was the wife of the late Arthur "Cliff" Moran.

Born in Jamestown, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Serpa) Matoes.

Mrs. Moran worked for several Jamestown businesses before retiring. She was a member of the Holy Ghost Society and a communicant of St. Mark Church. Mrs. Moran was an avid Red Sox and Celtics fan.

She leaves two daughters, Karen Fernstrom and Laurie Hedenberg both of Warwick; seven sisters, Dorothy Nunes and Genevieve Currie both of Jamestown, Ellen Wright, Evelyn Wright and Jackie Swigert all of Florida, Joan Anderson of North Carolina, and Margaret Sheehan of Warwick; seven grandchildren, Woodrow Hallaway, Kristen Gretchner, Kenneth Fernstrom, Kazumi Burum, Katsumi Hart, Meghan Hedenberg and Seth Hedenberg; and eleven great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Frank Matoes formerly of California.

Her Memorial Service will be held today at 11 a.m. in the Fagan- Quinn Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Rd., North Kingstown. Visitation hour is today from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will be private.
