Latin dance continues
The Jamestown Parks and Recreation Department will be starting new sessions of its three adult dance/exercise classes on Thursday evenings at the Community Center.
Beginning April 26, Latin Workout will run from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Students will learn basic rhythms of merengue, Cha-cha, rumba, and samba. Students do not need a partner. From 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., beginners level Latin dance with a partner is romantic and fun. Dancing merengue and cha-cha with a partner, will get participants up to speed for the more advanced, faster, salsa class.
Learn basic steps and skills to lead and follow in partner dancing.
From 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. is intermediate level ballroom and Latin dancing for anyone who felt like moving up to the next level, after the last dance series.
We'll be learning the waltz and cha-cha this semester.
All three classes at taught by Kana Kubota. For more information call 423-7260. Registration Forms are available at the Community Center or can be downloaded from http://www.jamestownri.net/ rec/rec.html.
