Antique bookbinding techniques on display
The University of Rhode Island's library gallery will showcase, "25 Years of Dragonfly," a display of bookbinding restoration, which runs through April 26.
The display features a collection of work by George and Pat Sargent, who have operated their full service hand bookbindery, Dragonfly, for 25 years. They specialize in antiquarian book and paper restoration and fine bindings.
The exhibit is free and open to the public. It will be open weekdays during library hours from 8 a.m. to midnight, Fridays, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays, 1 p.m. to midnight.
