James M. Maxwell III, 63
James M. Maxwell III, 63, of Mast Street, died unexpectedly Saturday, April 14, 2007 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, North Providence. He was the loving husband of Joyce A. (Martinelli) Maxwell for 26 years.
Born in Pawtucket he was the son of the late James M. and Winifred (Theberge) Maxwell Mr. Maxwell was a truck driver for the US Postal Service for over eight years. He was a Vietnam War era veteran serving in the US Air Force. He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. He was a resident of Jamestown since 1988.
Besides his wife he is survived by his devoted children Robert A. Miller and his wife Linda of Narragansett, Lynn A. Pietrantozzi and her husband Steven of North Kingstown, Deneen Laprade of Woonsocket and Dean F. Maxwell of Texas. He was the grandfather of seven. Mr. Maxwell was the brother of Beverly A. Martin of Washington, D.C.
The funeral will be from the Nardolillo Funeral Home, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston today at 9 a.m. followed by services at 10 a.m. in the Phillips Memorial Baptist Church, 565 Pontiac Ave., Cranston. Burial with Military Honors will be in Rhode Island Veteran's Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn 38105-1905.
