Get tickets for chorus concerts

The Jamestown Community Chorus is in its final days of rehearsal for its participation in RISings II, at East Providence High School on Sunday, April 29, at 3 p.m. They are also working toward a great spring concert, called, "Going Home," at the Central Baptist Church.

Many of the singers will be in costume for "Going Home," as the songs and dances will reflect the heritage of the members of the chorus. The concert will be performed on Saturday, May 5, at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, May 6, at 3 p.m.

The chorus will present its first annual Music Award to a Jamestown resident at one of the May concerts.

The May program not only includes a small ensemble, a quartet, a soloist, and ethnic dances, but the full chorus will perform songs from Hungary, Russia, Finland, Ireland, and Brazil.

General admission is $11 for adults and $7 for seniors and children. Tickets are available at Baker's Pharmacy, Jamestown Hardware, the Secret Garden, from chorus members and at the door.
