Help clean up lighthouse today

The Beavertail Lighthouse Museum Association (BLMA) will hold its annual spruce-up today, May 10, at 10 a.m.

Help is needed to clean windows, dust off displays, and tidy up the museum for visitors. For more information, call the lighthouse at 423-3270.

Docent training, for those who would like to help out in the museum and its gift shop this season, will be held this Saturday, May 12, at 10 a.m. Volunteers will get a quick tour of the museum's exhibits and learn about the DVDs, books, jewelry, apparel, and other items visitors buy at the gift shop. Volunteers learn about the fascinating history of Beavertail Lighthouse and enjoy the seaside breezes, gor- views, and friendly people. For more information, call Rita Antine at 423-2873 or Joan Vessella at 423-0208.

BLMA members are reminded that May is the month to mail dues to the BLMA, PO Box 83, Jamestown, RI 02835.
