Baccari wins it for Ali's Run

Ali's Run won its second game of the season this past Sunday with an exciting 3-2 win over a tough and determined Mel's Café team. Strong pitching by John Rafanelli with great relief by Nathaniel Vigneault set up the win. In the bottom of the seventh inning, with the score tied at 2-2, Rafanelli singled, stole second and came home on Alessandro Baccari's game winning single. Earlier in the game, strong defensive plays by Will Deffley, Matt Baptista, Christian Tiexeira, and Nathaniel Vigneault gave the team its chance to win. The team's next game is this Sunday, May 13, at 5 p.m. at Cardine's Field in Newport. Manager Jim Bryer is doing a great job with the team this year. Come on out and root for your team.
