Rocky Hill seniors gain work experience

Each spring since 1970, seniors at Rocky Hill School have spent four weeks immersed in an internship that is meant to broaden their high school experience and, for many, provide a glimpse at the field they plan to study in college.

Beginning on April 23, the senior class no longer commuted to school, but to work. They each spent 100 hours in the field, and had a site visit from their adviser. The students return to campus and presented a multimedia presentation to an audience that included students and faculty.

Students from Jamestown who participated in the internship program include Elise Flanagan, who worked at Donna Karan International in New York City on public relations and communications. Sara Leonard interned for Leroy Bennett Production and Lighting Design and helped with lighting design on the Faith Hill and Tim McGraw concert tour.

Gray Twombly worked at Item Industrial Design in art design and marketing.
