Thanks to all 'treasures'

On Thursday, May 24, the Lawn School Improvement Team held its first Island Treasures Day for all students in grades 5 through 8. Over 40 presenters from the community ran 22 different workshops for the students. Each student was able to attend two 90-minute workshops. It was a day of inspiration! Involved community members, who gave generously of their time and talents, designed engaging hands-on learning activities. Our students gave very positive feedback, with many wishing the workshops had lasted longer. There were opportunities to learn about diverse topics ranging from honeybees to interior design. We deeply appreciate all of the time and energy each presenter gave to our school. These presenters are strong evidence of the Jamestown community's strong commitment to our children.
