Visit secret gardens in Newport
      The annual Secret Garden Tour in Newport runs June 15 to 17 in the historic point section. Tour-goers will be treated to several gardens, many tucked-away behind classic Colonials, where they can only be seen on tour days. Friday hours are noon to 5 p.m. The tours are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Latin dance classes continue
      The Jamestown Parks and Recreation Department will be starting new sessions of its two adult dance/exercise classes on Thursday evenings at the community center beginning June 7. Latin Workout will run from 6 to 7 p.m., and will be followed by Latin Beginners Dance, from 7 to 8 p.m. Classes will be on June 7, 13, 20, 27 and July 12 and 26.

      The annual meeting of the Friends of the Jamestown Library will be held on Wednesday, June 13, at 7 p.m. in the library meeting room. Thad Koza, the tall ships photographer and author will be the guest speaker.

Summer dance camp being organized
      Mary Beth Murphy will teach a summer dance camp for children ages 4 to 12 at the Jamestown Recreation Department's dance studio located at 32 Pemberton Ave. during the months of July and August.
