Robert "Red" Moser, 80

Robert deLancey "Red" Moser, 80, of the Rockhill Mennonite Community, Sellersville, Pa. and formerly of Hagerstown, Md. and St. Louis, Mo., passed away Thursday, May 31, 2007.

He was the husband of the late Ethel "Beth" (Gamble) Moser, who passed away in 1992.

Born and raised in St. Louis, he was the son of the late J. Edgar Moser and Marie (deLancey) Floyd-Jones Moser Everitt. He enjoyed spending his summers in Jamestown.

He graduated from Country Day School, St. Louis in 1944. He served with the U.S. Marines stationed on Guam during World War II. After his military service, he graduated from Brown University in Providence.

Red was employed as a contract administrator for Fairchild Hiller, in Hagerstown, Md. for many years.

He was most known for his great love of people, his positive spirit, his passion for education and most of all his insatiable love of laughter. He amused and delighted his grandchildren with his great sense of humor. He shared many fun-filled moments with them and his spirit will surely live on through them.

He is survived by two sons, Dr. Robert D. Moser and his wife Sylvia, of Austin, Texas and John M. Moser and his wife Susan, of Perkasie, Pa.; a daughter, Dr. Margaret G. Moser and her companion Jody, of Vancouver, B.C.; six grandchildren, Joseph, Daniel, Jacob, Katelyn, Nicholas and Nina; two brothers, J. Edgar Moser and his wife Esther, of Gulf Shores, Ala. and William A. "Peter" Moser and his wife Caroline, of St. Louis; three sisters, Elizabeth Wolfe and her husband John, of St. Louis, Emily Sharpe and her husband William, of Newport and DeLancey Converse of Jamestown, as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister Ann Floyd Mitchell.

Memorial services will be held in St. Louis, Mo. at a later time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 700 Horizon Circle, Suite 201, Chalfont, Pa. 18914.
