URI faculty art show

The University of Rhode Island Department of Art will hold a faculty exhibition from June 19 to July 31 at the Fine Arts Center galleries.

The exhibition showcases the artists' expertise in traditional media including watercolor, pastel, graphite and pen, oil painting, photography, and wood sculpture. Significantly more experimental forms including cut paper drawing and duct tape sculpture will also be showcased. Several faculty members work on or with paper for dramatic drawing and/or printmaking.

Summer gallery hours are Monday to Friday, noon to 4 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m.

The gallery is located on Upper College Road.
