Men's chorus preparing for summer singing

The Men's Chorus of Jamestown, after taking a break in 2006, will get together again this summer.

The group is open to all men and boys in the greater Jamestown area.

This could be the group to join for any guys that have ever thought about singing in a group and either have not had the time, cannot read music, or think that their voice is not up to snuff.

All guys are welcome to join regardless of experience. Director and founder B.J. Whitehouse will lead the group once again.

In the past, they have performed at local talent shows and at McCoy Stadium in Pawtucket.

They will prepare a concert of "guy stuff" for Sept. 1 and have a great time in the process. Rehearsals will start on Thursday, June 21, at the Conanicut Grange/Senior Center at 6 West St. in Jamestown. Rehearsals will then be every Thursday night from 7 to 9 p.m. Fellows of all ages are welcome to join. There are no auditions and only a modest fee for music.

For further information, such as a summer schedule or list of music for this year, contact director B.J. Whitehouse at 423-1574 or email at bwhitehouse2@cox.net
