Outstanding warrant

Jerome McDevitt, 20, of 23 Viking Drive, Portsmouth, was picked up June 10 on Clarke Street on an outstanding warrant from Fourth District Superior Court.

McDevitt was charged with resisting arrest and obstructing an officer in the execution of his duties, according to police. He was scheduled for a June 11 appearance in Newport District Court, police said.

Suspended license violation

Jeffrey Ramsdell, 25, of 195 Smith St., Cranston, was charged with driving with a suspended license June 8 after a routine traffic stop on Route 138, according to police. A court date was scheduled for June 22 at Newport District Court, police said.

Kevin Stamps, 25, of 244 Middle Rd., East Greenwich, was charged with driving with a suspended license after a routine traffic stop on North Main Road. A court date was scheduled for June 22 at Newport District Court, police said.

Larcenies reported

+ A car break-in was reported June 9 at Fort Getty, police said. Missing from the vehicle were a GPS unit worth $1,000, a marine radio worth $150, and a duffel bag worth $20, police said.

+ Items were reported missing June 9 from an unlocked vehicle on Bayview Drive. The items were two iPods worth $300 and $400 respectively, a handbag and camera worth $400 each, and a memory card valued at $100, according to police.
